Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, raised in Wellington) is an Canadian actress from Canada. Paquin, born in Winnipeg and was raised by Wellington Paquin's mother, made her acting debut as Flora McGrath. For this role she received an Academy Award of Best Supporting Actress in the romantic comedy The Piano at the young age of 11. She was the second youngest recipient in Oscar the history of Oscars. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin, born July 24 in 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster in the category of Best Supporting actress for acting as the bright and interesting child of Holly Hunter's lead role on the film The Piano. The role as Flora McGrath - the daughter of the Scottish muffled pianist from New Zealand at mid-19th Century was hers at an audition open to all. In addition, she played an important part as a lead character in Fly Away Home, a film from that same year. Paquin was a part-time actress in the television movie of 1997 adaption to Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. The actress also played the queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). She played teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000) and A Walk on the Moon (2000). She played groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
